Katy Perry unveiled the cover of her new album “Teenage Dream” in which she looks like exactly that! The genetic jackpot winner looks gorgeous and ethereal (and not trying to look cheekier than Betty Boop for a change!) wearing nothing but a cotton-candy cloud draped strategically across her backside.

Other than the cover being a little less over the top than usual, it’s pretty much what I’d expect from Katy Perry (pictured leaving LAX on July 16). Oh wait, nope, she went there: it’s going to be cotton-candy scented. Blegh.

The ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer was posing for a magazine shoot, when the lively animal – which was on the set for the photo shoot – relieved itself on her.
She wrote on her blog: “Jeremy Scott is one of my all time favourites and he shot the pictures while I got to prance around in his creations. I had a chimp on set with me that day. Fun fact, she peed all over me, I had to take a silkwood shower in the middle of shooting.”

Katy is not the first celebrity to have an unfortunate encounter with a chimpanzee.
Last year, it was revealed Christina Ricci had been sexually assaulted by an animal on the set of her movie.
The actress, who already had a phobia of the animal, revealed Chim Chim grabbed her left breast while she was filming ‘Penelope’.

Christina – who played a woman born with a pig’s nose in the movie – said: “I’m afraid of monkeys, but I had decided not to be afraid of Chim Chim because no one else is. I thought, ‘Everyone else thinks he’s awesome so just be cool.’

“It’s the first day of shooting and I have this kitchen scene where I’m sitting down and Chim Chim is sitting right next to me. Of course, it freaks out during the take and grabs my left breast and will not let go, and he’s so strong.”

Twitter can be a virtual playground when it comes to celebrity news and gossip. But Katy Perry is giving her fans something to get excited over other than a few travel notes and album updates.

She recently posted this sexy photo of her wearing a Santa Claus hat, some Christmas lights and little else.

It’s possible that an upcoming picture could be Perry in a white dress: Earlier this week, boyfriend Russell Brand chatted about life with Perry on UK’s GMTV.

Although he denied rumors about the two being engaged, he didn’t seem to completely dodge the question altogether. “Well, I don’t know. Get married, you say? Hmmm, that would be good, wouldn’t it?” he said. “I do want to have children. That’d be good.”

Katy Perry was devastated when she was forced to throw away her “virginity underwear”.

The quirky pop star has spent days sorting through her possessions as she prepares to move house. She has loved unearthing old photographs, but was horrified when her assistant made her throw out boxes of keepsakes relating to old boyfriends, including the panties she wore the night she lost her virginity.

The 25-year-old singer wrote on her Twitter page: “NOOOOO my assistant is making me throw away all my old boyfriend boxes… I mean GIRLS YOU KNOW WHAT I’m talking about. She made me throw away my virginity underwear! NOOOOO!!!!!!! (but then again she said that’s not normal to keep those) I AM NOT NORMAL I KNOW! (sic).

Katy has been packing up her Los Angeles apartment for over a week. She is rumoured to be moving into a new house with her boyfriend Russell Brand. The process has been stressful and Katy has even turned to alternative therapies for relaxation.

She wrote: “taking a break from throwing half of my old life away to get some acupuncture… much needed (sic).”

After managing an astonishing 12 costume changes at the recent MTV Europe Music Awards, Katy Perry’s latest outfit is always awaited with eagerness. And as she announced the nominees for the Grammy Awards on Wednesday night, the crowd were not disappointed.

At first glance, Ms Perry might have seemed rather demurely dressed considering her previous style choices. But on closer inspection, the patterned mini-dress was a little more eye-popping. And that wasn’t the only thing that might have popped. The 25-year-old’s strapless number appeared to defy gravity as it (barely) covered her ample bosom and the aforementioned chest looked desperate to break free.

Pop singer Katy Perry has come up with a new plan to make sure she doesn’t embarrass herself with candid posts on her Twitter page while enjoying a drink with friends.

The ‘I Kissed A Girl’ hitmaker, who’s currently dating British comic Russell Brand, constantly updates her profile on the social networking website with her latest thoughts and whereabouts, but admits her compulsion can sometimes go too far.

Now Perry has enlisted pals to take away her phone when she’s out partying to keep her from posting drunken comments on her Twitter page.

“Sometimes, whenever I go out – not when I’m on tour but when I’m at home and I’m out and I’m celebrating – if I have a couple of drinks my friends will take away my phone in fear of me buzz-

Twittering (updating drunk) because you never know what I might say. And I’m glad they do it too,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Katy Perry proves she doesn’t need Auto-Tune on her new MTV Unplugged EP and DVD. The 25-year-old singer/songwriter belts it with a small band for the intimate concert and picks up an acoustic guitar, on which she wrote music for her debut album, One of the Boys.

The short, seven-song show contains commentary by Perry in-between songs (which is missing from the album.) Perry gives some insight into her songwriting process, including talking about her Christian background and how that interacted with her life in Los Angeles. The disapointing thing about the show was the set list. She omitted one of her hit singles, “Hot N Cold,” from the concert, though she did play Ur So Gay,Thinking of You” and “Waking Up in Vegas.Thinking of You” is beautiful when she plays it on the acoustic guitar, but this time she also had some piano and violin help, which made the song even prettier.
