The Katy Perry Quandry: Do You Like What She Wears?

katy perry quandrySince she hit it big with her hit “I Kissed a Girl,” Katie Perry has been up in our faces. The crazy outfits she wears make it impossible to ignore her, no matter how hard you try. The latest example of her propensity for flashy (and sometimes slutty) outfits was at the MTV Europe Music Awards, which Perry hosted. She gave us a plethora of outfits to either hate or love.

I’m going to go out on a limb here, but I am leaning more towards love on this one. There are twelve looks to judge, and I’d say I like at least seven of them. Granted, that’s still failing when it comes to a high school grading scale. But, if this was baseball, she’d be batting over .500, which is impressive. Her pink Marchesa gown with black lace detailing was not only reserved, but really elegant as well. Another red carpet look, a nude mini-dress with jeweled triangles on the front, was also a demure choice for the singer, but nonetheless sexy. She even bedazzled her nails for the event! That’s dedication. While hosting and performing, the singer gave us what we’ve come to expect from her. Her long electric-blue flapper dress, white lace-and-feathers mini and black corset with pearl bolero, all of which hit it out of the park. I even loved the Swiss cheese looking red tulle ballgown. But, yes, there were also some disasters. The devil-esque red velvet outfit and the cone shorts with practically-invisible corset top. Those were definitely bad.

katy perry cleavageMusic Management International (MMI) and All Youth Channels, Inc. (AYC) proudly present “Katy Perry Rocks for Relief” as her swagger warms Manila after the cold typhoons devastated the country three weeks ago. She will be heading the biggest fundraising event for the typhoon survivors making the concert much bigger and more relevant. The fundraiser will be on Nov. 14 at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. All net proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Philippine National Red Cross, the concert’s sole beneficiary. The concert will also be an avenue for people to drop off their donations as it will have house booths specifically intended for it. Boys Like Girls, the supposed front act for “Katy Perry Live in Manila” last Oct. 3 will not be able to make it. Guest performers are Arnel Pineda and Neal Schon of Journey, American rock band MAE, and Jed Madela. As beneficiary, the Philippine National Red Cross will receive all the net proceeds that the concert will be able to raise or P1,000,000, which ever is higher. The organization has actively and effectively been giving aid to the typhoon survivors since the day “Ondoy” hit Manila. Donations in kind like food, water, clothes, blankets and medicines will be welcomed. Everyone is highly encouraged to bring at least one item to donate. All donations will be deployed to victims of the tropical storms. For ticket reservations, check out TicketWorld at.

katie perry and travis mccoyKaty Perry and her Gym Class Heroes beau Travis McCoy have split after a year of dating, a source close to Perry confirmed to Usmagazine.com Friday.

“It’s sad, but they were fighting a lot because they never saw each other and now she is going on tour,” the source told Us. “She just needed a clear head. It’s been non-stop work for her.”

Look back at the biggest splits of 2008.

McCoy posted the lyrics to Main Source’s tune “Looking at the Front Door” on his blog about the breakup, which was first reported by Celebuzz.

“We fight every night, now that’s not kosher. I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer. And wake up to be greeted by an argument again, You act like you’re 10…My friends always tell me how I’m lucky to possess the best looking girl in the whole U.S….it seems like just two years back when we were bonded and not pierced, but now I keep itchin’ to jet,” he wrote.
